20/05/2006 - "Majority doesn't want old houses to be demolished"

According to Courier, in a reference to  recent public surveys etc., ERYC states that "most of the people who said they did not want demolition were not from the two streets involved".

Does ERYC believe that the views of the wider town and its populace are simply irrelevant to the proposal that will change the face of the place, although we have all been affected by the fallout from social change that ERYC and Housing Associations brought into the two streets?
