16/07/2006 - Project Manager of 'Advance Goole' in refusal to discuss renovation
Madeleine Bell (Project Manager of 'Advance Goole') in refusal to discuss renovation with Goole Town Council.
In a letter to GTC Ms Bell quotes "renovation of the properties is not an option, and it would be wrong to suggest, in anyway, that it is"
This quote comes despite the fact that a majority of those that were consulted by BE Group earilier this year were in favour of retaining and renovating the area of Shuffleton currently under threat of CPOs and demolition, namely Richard Cooper Street and Phoenix Street.
To add further insult to injury, it has now been revealed that the developer who has drawn up plans to buy and renovate the houses to meet new property standard guidelines and 'save the day' for those residents who wish to stay in their homes, will not be allowed to display his plans at a consultation feedback event to be held at the Leisure Centre on 20th July.
Goole Action Group urges all its members and supporters to attend this event to make sure that, once again, the message of 'renovation, not demolition' is heard above the noise of the ERYC bulldozers!
