Goole Action Group

04/05/2007 - Election Results

KEVIN FLYNN, chairman of Goole Action Group, has been elected on to Goole Town Council in last Thursday's elections as an Independent councillor.    Having fought the election based partly on the message that the impotent Town Council should relay to East Riding of Yorkshire Council the necessity of having a housing policy that reflects Goole's needs, and such issues of concern must be dealt with by Goole people, he is of the opinion that the electors of Goole have endorsed GAG's campaign to save Phoenix St. and Richard Cooper St.   This opinion is also supported by his good result in the ERYC election when he came fourth with 456 votes, beating a Lib Dem and two Conservatives.
